Requirements: Education/Training Requirements: 1. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is preferred. Registered Nurse license by Wisconsin State Board of Nursing is required; license must be in good standing with the Wisconsin State Board of Nursing. 2. A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a psychiatric care setting. 3. Previous management/clinical supervisory experience is preferred. 4. Must be deemed competent to serve as qualified medical professional (QMP) as outlined in the Medical Staff bylaws of Rogers Memorial Hospital. This essential job requirement is evaluated and potentially reviewed at least annually, based on results of the QMP job competency.

Job Description:  The House Supervisor manages and coordinates shift activities of nursing personnel to maintain continuity and quality of patient care. She/He is responsible for recognizing and assisting in solving professional, administrative, and supervisory problems. Duties may vary on each shift, depending on registered nurse coverage on each unit; availability of authorized staff to make decisions regarding patient care; staff coverage; availability of administrative staff to coordinate activities during disaster and emergencies; and to handle patient, staff, and visitor grievances. The House Supervisor is a representative of Patient Care Services and is responsible for collaborating with other departments to facilitate and coordinate appropriate patient care services. She/He cares for patients who range in age from five years old to geriatric.
